Augmented Reality - ToF AR

"Virtual reality technology is continuously updated, but also affected its transformation in the creative field, augmented reality (AR) as a new form of intervention in art."

In July 2022, the eContainer project conducted its first “Deep Information-TOF AR” workshop.Based on Sony Semiconductor Solutions software development kit for ToF, which was officially released to the public at Developer World, the workshop provided in-depth technical explanations and operational.

ToF/AR

ToF is the abbreviation of Time of Flight, also known as time-of-flight 3D imaging, which converts depth information to the emission and reflection time of light and presents it. At present, ToF Sensor is widely used in smart phone devices, and has more accurate capture in space, gesture, bone and other feature recognition technologies.

The workshop uses the toolkit “ToF AR” (SDK) developed by SONY Semiconductor Solutions to help developers:

01、The function of recognizing body movements and expressing them smoothly;
02、Modeling function to generate 3D data;
03、Build surrounding environment functions based on in-depth information.
