Eastern Fantasy｜
A Metaverse Sci-Fi Fest

"Metacosmic Documenta is a synthesis of materialisation, materialisation and technology."

With “literature” as the original material, the media re-creation and spatial re-presentation, from “language is the boundary of thinking” to “fantasy as the medium, opening the possibility of thinking”, present the anti-gravity polyhedral world. In addition, through the “fractal”, “spectacle”, “architecture”, “Superman”, “chaos”, “Double enchantment”, “fantasy”, “system” eight theme environment, and “study”, “darkroom” two special experience space. The complex relationships formed with planes (works of art as Spaces), lines (paths of transformation between Spaces), points (audiences as digital minstrels), and nuclei (central exchange venues) show the audience where reality cannot travel.

Combined with the theme of “Oriental Fantasy”, this exhibition responds to the time-space isomorphic imagery of Chinese aesthetics with a rhythmic arrangement. The exhibition consists of both science fiction literature and new media artworks. The works of science fiction writers and academic discussions, manuscripts and notes, translated visual and multimedia materials, and even the artefacts of their work and life will be placed together in the exhibition space, bringing the viewers into contexts that both mirror and expand upon each other, and stimulating new ideas and perspectives.

Compared to the first Metaverse Science Fiction Convention, the exhibits at this convention were more diverse in content and presentation. The original music “No One” by Yinguang and Yunlong introduces the oriental fantasy worldview, and each visitor is transformed into a “digital bard”, an integral part of the world building and multifaceted narratives. In ancient times, bards travelled around the world, collecting and celebrating stories, and were the guardians of civilisation, while today, the journey goes from reality to online, with the classics crossing over into the future.
